Doug is happy to accept commissions,  given sufficient lead time to complete your painting in the midst of his ongoing commitments to Blue Rain Gallery in Santa Fe.  Any existing Blue Rain Gallery clients must initiate commissioned work directly through them,  although once a deposit has been made, Doug will correspond directly with you via email to keep you regularly updated as your piece evolves.

 

The cost for commission work is 10% ABOVE Doug's usual gallery pricing.  This is because of the larger investment of time required to completely satisfy the client's expectations.  Doug does not discount his work if purchased directly from him.  

 

Doug will send email regular weekly updates including photographs as your painting evolves.  This is to guarentee your expectations are fully met and there are no surprises when the painting is finally completed.

Clients must pay a 50% down payment deposit once an image design sketch is first accepted and painting is ready to commence. The final 50% payment is due once the work is completed to the client's satisfaction, prior to shipment.  The price quote includes Doug's standard contemporary shadow box framing, however packing and shipping expenses are the responsibility of the client.
